Heavy-Haulage and Specialized Transport

Things are getting really heavy here – or should we say specialized – because this is a particularly demanding sector of the specialist transportation industry.

Heavy haulage is a term that by definition refers to a load, which may have small or average dimensions, but is very heavy and therefore imposes a very high load on the axles. Specialized transport is a term that may refer to an excessively wide and/or excessive high load – a turbine or excavator, for example, or a transformer, machinery, construction site equipment, escalator, or container. Apart from this, the relocation of complete factories or companies would often be out of the question without the assistance of heavy-duty vehicles.

Permits are required for all of these transport operations. With our purpose-designed fleet of vehicles in Hamburg, throughout Germany and in other EU countries, we can process them professionally and cost-effectively on your behalf.

We Take Care of Everything

Heavy-haulage and specialized transport usually require comprehensive preparation. We check the routes and investigate various alternatives. A detailed route map is then drawn up. Obtaining permits (in accordance with the statutory traffic regulations), coordinating with the authorities, organizing customs handling, and preparing load distribution plans are firmly anchored integral elements of the services that we offer.

What about insurance? How do I pack oversize freight? What about loading and unloading? Each assignment imposes very individual requirements on man and machine. We adopt a pro-active approach to our customers and do everything in our power to ensure that goods arrive at the right place at the right time. Our trained staff have many years of experience behind them and you can contact them for help and advice with your project at any time.

Semitrailers

Our purpose-built semitrailer trucks are capable of moving extremely long loads. Apart from large loading platforms, the trailers are also equipped with steering rear axles. This makes them particularly maneuverable and able to master even tricky routing. Our experienced drivers have already negotiated numerous difficult situations with bulky loads.

Low-Profile Semitrailers

Our versatile low-profile semitrailers have a very low loading platform and offer a suitable means of transporting a variety of different loads. They can also be driven over and telescoped. They are frequently used for assignments in the industrial building and plant construction sector, as well as the power supply industry and the building sector, of course. Over the years, this type of trailer has proven itself as the ideal choice for transporting impressive loads in the easiest possible manner.

Lowboy Trailers

With low deck and supplementary container locking mechanisms, lowboy trailers are the ideal solution for a wide range of applications. Our lowboy trailers offer a particularly suitable, problem-free means of transporting extremely high, bulky loads. With a high payload and length-optimized loading space, they are capable of transporting heavy construction site equipment, wind turbines, prefabricated building units, industrial components, railway vehicles, boats, and precast concrete elements, to name just a few examples.

Heavy-Duty Modular Vehicles

Our heavy-duty modular vehicles are equipped with flatbeds, excavator decks, or vessel decks, according to the respective requirements. They provide an outstandingly suitable solution for challenging routes. With very low loading platforms, they are capable of transporting extremely high and extremely heavy loads. This means that they are capable of transporting construction equipment, presses and power units, etc. The modular vehicles offer exceptional maneuverability and their frames are capable of withstanding very high point loads thanks to the use of pivot-mounted pendular axles.

Whatever heavy and bulky loads you are planning to transport in the near future (e.g. drilling equipment, crates, engines, transformers, escalators, cast components): simply call us. We will find the right solution for you.
