Heavy-Cargo Storage – Room to Accommodate Every Need

Do you need to put particularly heavy or bulky goods, such as machines, turbines, wind turbines, or factory modules, into storage?

Our warehouse in Hamburg offers ideal conditions in this respect. The hall doors are large enough to even allow heavy, oversized goods to be loaded into the dry storage areas inside. The girder-free storage areas facilitate unobstructed maneuvering; a special floor, designed to withstand heavy loads, ensures that the necessary safety is assured.

Storage areas may be rented for short or extended periods. This offers you a means of optimizing your warehousing costs. The premises are fenced in and secured by alarm systems with video surveillance. Forklift trucks and mobile cranes are directly available on site. You can contact our warehouse staff 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, ensuring that you can access your stored goods at any time. Our specialist personnel would be happy to answer any questions you may have and help you to find a solution for your goods, even if the requirements are highly complicated.

If you wish to carry out assembly work on site, we can make the necessary connections available for supplies of heavy current, compressed air, gas or water, etc. You can also perform preventive and corrective maintenance work at the warehouse premises.

Easily Accessible, Soon Back on the Road

Our storage areas are ideally situated in terms of access to all major transport routes. They are located in the immediate vicinity of the highway and the railway network. Access to the inland waterway network is also easy from there. The warehouse has direct access to a waterway and is equipped with a crane that has a load capacity of up to 450 metric tons.

We are also equipped with self-propelled modular transporters (SPMTs), designed for a maximum unit weight of 450 metric tons. With multiple axles and their own drive units, these SPMTs are capable of carrying very high payloads on the premises. We operate in accordance with the ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) code in an effort to improve safety and security. Seeland is also an AEO (Authorized Economic Operator). This means that we are authorized traders and, as such, have a reputation of being particularly reliable and trustworthy. As an AEO, we can enjoy certain benefits within the framework of customs clearance procedures.

Our customers are able to have goods stored in our warehouse loaded and transported thanks to the other services that we offer, including heavy haulage, truck-mounted crane rental, and industrial installations. This enables us to offer services associated with logistics and handling of your heavy goods from a single source.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the staff of our office in Hamburg. True to our motto “Seeland moves”, simply nothing is too heavy for us.
